3Cworld Multifunction Kitchen Shears/Scissors - Heavy Duty (Take Apart) Kitchen Tool (Green and Gray)

This is a serious pair of kitchen shears or scissors.

Positives:

-Insanely sharp.

-Both sides of the scissor blades are sharp for different kinds of cutting.

-The scissors can be easily taken apart. That's great for cleaning but it also means that the sharpened "backs" of the scissor blades can be used as knives.

-It has a nutcracker feature. I can't imagine why I would need that but it's better to have it than not have it.

-Rubberized handles provide a little cushion for the hands as well as making them anti-slip.

-The backs of the handles have a flathead screwdriver head and a bottle opener.

-These scissors are so strong that the seller claims that they will cut through bone.

-Includes a matching sheath with a strong magnet so you can attach it to your refrigerator. The magnet is very strong. This pair of scissors does not move.

Negatives:

-Sometimes the screwdriver head and bottle opener get in the way. It takes a while to re-learn how not to run them into things.

Neither positive nor negative - the instructions. The box is covered with printed instructions in what may well be some of most amusing and confusing translations of the English ever printed. For example: "after cutting and pasting, scissors and good, don't play with scissors to play. Cut out of things to clean up. Make it a habit to clean and tidy" and "set multiple functions, the parties meet the ingredientsManage demand."

But, I didn't get these scissors for the wonderful language on the box. I got them to be a useful tool in the kitchen and they certainly are that.

I rate these scissors 5 stars out of 5.

Outdoor Folding Knife Stainless Steel Handle by Ambec

Sharp, easy to use and priced so that if you lose it you won't lose your mind.

The knife with a pen for size comparison.

Take this knife for what it is. This is not a lifelong hunting knife that you are going to use and then pass it on to your kid who will pass it on to his kid.

But, this is what it is. It is very sharp, easy to use and at $14.99 if you lose it or it breaks it is no big loss.

The blade is 3.75 inches long. The whole knife is 7.5 inches long when it is opened.

Pros:

1. Very sharp

2. Easy to lock open.

3. Easy to unlock and close. I was able to easily do this with a pair of work gloves on - I was spreading bags of mulch and I was using this knife to cut open the bags.

4. The vent holes in the handle make it easy to fish this knife out of a pocket.

This folding knife can be found at Amazon.com here: Ambec Knife.

Coast LK375 Light Knife by Coast

   Kind of a Cool Combination.

Blade length: 3.75 inches
Total length when unfolded: 8.5 inches

At first glance, this may seem to be quite the weird combination - a flashlight and a folding knife. Coast makes both flashlights and folding knives so someone back at Coast Corporate Central must have thought it would be kinda cool to mix the two together. And, you know what?  They were right, it is kind of a cool combination.

Pros:

So, what's the bottom line?

Pros:

-The stainless steel blade of the knife is super-sharp right out of the box.

-The flashlight is water-proof.

The knife next to a Bic pen for size comparison. The red
button is the flashlight on/off switch.
-The flashlight has two settings: 110 lumens and 29 lumens. The Bright setting is very, very bright.

-The flashlight is powered by a AAA battery so that you won't have to make a special trip to meet the jeweler when the battery dies.

-You can open the knife with one hand.

-When the knife is unfolded, it locks securely and feels very solid.

-It is very easy to unlock but unlikely to unlock on accident.

-It comes with a belt clip.

Cons:

-The knife is simply too big for every day use for most people. This is a good idea, once you get used to it. I would be interested in seeing the same thing done with a smaller knife.

-I wish it would come with a way to attach it to a carabiner so that it could be attached securely to a backpack (inside or outside).

-There are basically no instructions that come with the knife.

As of the time of this review, this flashlight cost $58.18 at Amazon. Click here to check current pricing: Coast LK375 Light Knife.

Note: I received a free knife in order to write an honest review through Amazon's Amazon Vine program.

I rate this knife/flashlight 5 stars out of 5.

Credit Card Knife - Tactical Folding Knife by Muzitao©

The knife as it would be in your wallet
with a Bic pen for size comparison.
This is one of the most creative little gadgets that I have ever held in my hand. The premise is simple - a knife that folds up to the size of a credit card (actually the width of two credit cards) so you can carry it around in your wallet.
First, flip the blade...

A pocket knife is a handy thing but you can't always carry one around. This knife, though, is so easy to carry around that you can forget that you are carrying it because it's tucked right in there with stuff you literally can't leave the house without - your money, your charge card and your driver's license.
Lock in the two parts of the folding
handle...

To use the knife, take it out of your wallet, unlock the blade and then fold the blade back over the card. Then, you flip and lock down the two pieces of the handle and you have your knife.

So, how good is the knife? This blade is very, very sharp. I wouldn't want to use this knife for a lot of cutting - you are not going to filet a fish or do a lot of

whittling with this knife. This is strictly for convenience. Now, keep in mind that I mostly use it for opening up those annoying clear plastic packages that are so hard to get into and for breaking down boxes and the like, but this knife is super-sharp - impressively so. There is a finger guard but it is not very substantial.

I rate this knife 5 stars out of 5 for its simple convenience.
