So, let's say your car is new enough to have an "aux in" port but not new enough to be Bluetooth enabled. With this device you simply plug it into the cigarette lighter, connect your Bluetooth device to the BrightPlay Car HD and plug it into your aux in port and Bam! you've turned your car into a Bluetooth device.
Now, you may be thinking that if you have a portable device and you have a "line-in" aux line to your car's stereo than you are probably good without this device because you can just use your phone to change songs, pause the music, answer the phone, etc. That is very true, except that this device has a button that skips all of that logging in/swiping to get into your phone (which can be dangerous while you are driving). Hit the button and you change songs. Hit it another way and you are answering the phone and so on.
Also, while the device is streaming, you can plug your phone into a USB port built into the back of the charger that powers the Bluetooth device
